Update

In the heat of battle, the emitter of my Canadian buddy's Obi-Wan was damaged. He contacted me and asked if I could repair it, which was the first time anyone had ever asked me to repair a saber I've built. Needless to say, that fellow puts his sabers through some trauma. As per his request, I made an Emitter Upgrade to his Obi-Wan saber, and I must say, I'm very satisfied with it. It's not perfect, but looks cool, and I'm sure he'll be very happy with it when he gets it back.

Of all the lightsabers I have built, I am especially proud of this one! And, sadly, this is another one I didn't manage to keep in my personal collection. *sigh* That's ok, it was a request from my buddy in Canada, so I know it went to a good home. Him and I talked about building this one for a couple months before I got started on it. At the time, I had no means of replicating the "clamp and control box" on the RotS version of the saber. We agreed on the use of a Graflex Clamp to give it a bit more of a classic feel, yet keep the rest of it as true as possible to the RotS version. He requested both a D-Ring and a Covertec knob be present on this saber, the D-Ring to accomodate the Flavor 1 Belt Clip I had built for him previously, and the Covertec knob and Clip to give the Prequel feel to the saber. Along with some other minor modifications, this saber was born. For something that was done completely by hand without the aid of a milling machine, lathe, or CNC machine, I think it's a fantastic saber. Now, if I could just manage to build one for myself, I'd be set! *grin*
