Another one of those just for fun pics, this is of a costume I put together for Halloween of 2002. It was quite an experience wearing this one. Aside from every square inch of my body being covered with one thing or another black, I was also wearing goggles with smoked lenses over a mask which covered my face, under the hood, and the goggles fogged continuously. That, my friend, was a kind of stuffy I never want to experience again! Despite the fact the fabric I used for the mask was very light and could be breathed through, it was still stuffy. I ended up wearing modified black rubber rainboots with this. Trust me, you don't want to know what it was like when I took those off at the end of the night. *chuckles* But all of that asside, the reactions I got were exactly what I wanted. I spacifically designed this to conceal who, and what, I was. When looking into the hood on a halloween night, all you would see is black on a blacker black. And then, at the right moment, you would catch a glint of light reflecting from eyes you could not see, hidden within shadow. That was the concept. Several people got so close to my face when peering into my hood to see my face, our noses nearly touched. Sadly, one fellow thought I was Death. *shakes head* Not so. This was one of those over-night costumes that turned out pretty darn good. Now, if I could just pull off even better over-night costumes, I'd be in good shape! *grin*
