This is my baby. I love this sword. And so does everyone else, it seems! I worked on this project off and on for about a year and a half before I finally finished it. This turned out almost exactly the way I wanted it, right down to the jewels in the hilt and the wrapped scabbard. It's a shame, my green stones, which were annoyingly difficult to find, show up a shade of blue in the pictures. But that aside, everyone at 2005's Comic-Con seemed to like it. I wore this with my upgraded Ghost uniform, replacing the original sword. This sword, and my boots--which have two 2" spikes on the toe of each boot--were a particular concern of security at the convention. But after I was cleared through, everyone seemed to enjoy the sword more than anything. "Take it out! Take it out!" *looks to the left, looks to the right* No security. *makes sure no one is within impaling range, quickly poses for a picture, and watches another picture-taker walk away happy* It went something like that. *grin* I was surprised, people walk right past you like you don't exist when you're wearing lightsabers. *frown* Your clothes could be made out of lightsabers, and they wouldn't pay any attention. But you walk around with a huge sword, and everyone stops you. Not limited to but including security, even after you've been cleared for the third time! It was fun. *grin*
